Public Consultation

Apatura conducted public consultation events in August and September 2023 to share information about the proposed development and gather feedback from the local community. Consultation events were held at Dennyloanhead Community Hall on 31st August 2023 and 22nd September 2023.

The consultation process included:

  • Public notices in the Stirling Observer (23rd August and 15th September)

  • Contact with key stakeholders including Community Councils, Local Councillors, MSPs, and MPs

EIA Screening

An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) screening request was submitted to the Energy Consents Unit (ECU) on 6th September 2023. On 31st January 2024, the Screening Opinion received from the ECU (application reference ECU00004906) concluded that the Proposed Development does not constitute EIA development. Stirling Council confirmed that it was their view the development was not EIA.

The project has since submitted an application with the ECU. A decision on this application has not yet been issued.
